About the name . . .

Pompous - affectedly and irritatingly grand, solemn, or self-important (as in behavior).

Gardyloo - interjection - a cry formerly used in Scotland to warn pedestrians when slops were about to be thrown from an upstairs window.

In short, self-important behavior of making a big to-do about "stuff"
that anyone else would throw out the window.
